Pals March Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals March Blog Hop. This month we are excited to kick-off Spring with our creative projects. We hope enjoy these creations and we hope Spring finds your soon!
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Martie Pollard at Crafty Bandit on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

The last time I did a pals blog hop, one of the cards I made with the Petal Parade stamp set was a huge hit on Pinterest (it was re-pinned over 144 times on the last count, see it here). I was thus inspired to do something similar with the same stamp. I again used a stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the image twice, but this time punched circles (instead of squares). I wanted the color to pop a bit, so added a punched 1 3/8 inch circle of coordinating colored cardstock under each stamped 1 1/4 inch circle.

The layout for this card was inspired by an old Stampin' Up catalog card made with the "Just Believe" stamp set. I added the white butterfly and rhinestones later for balance. I did like the card without the butterfly too though, see below.

The colors I used were Pale Plum, Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzaz, and Close to Cocoa. But I think this card would look great with almost any color scheme! I want to try it in a natural color scheme next. Or maybe regals....

Here's a close up of the bitty butterfly over the Pear Pizzaz stamped image.

The card is an odd sized 3 1/2 by 7 inches. Lucky for the envelope punch board. I made a matching envelope in just the right size with Pale Plum textured card stock (I'm trying to finish up all my retired cardstock so I can buy more of the new colors!). I also lined the envelope with Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum - one of my favorite things to do with this vellum lately.

Ahh! Only a few more weeks left of Sale-A-Bration!

I love your card! I love butterflies!!! I never think to make a matching envelope for my cards. Very pretty. I also like the size of the card. I think my next card will be this size with a matching envelope! :-)
