Sale-a-bration!

Today is the first day of Sale-a-bration. Which means for every $50 you spend, you get to choose a free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog

Free products start on page 11 (page 1-11 are suggested bundles - but you can order $50 of any product). As a demo, I was able to preorder a bunch of these products, and I LOVE them all!

Also, this is a great time to join as a demo.

The kit ships free for another 10% savings!  Choose items in current catalogs, photopolymer (clear) stamps, clearance rackholiday carryover items and specially priced bundles!  Join through me HERE and you'll be on your way to fun, new friendships and the resourceful (and private) virtual community of my Stampin' Pretty Pals

More so, this year, Stampin' Up is waiving the convention registrations fee (normally $185!) for all new demos who joined since July 2013 through convention registration. I've heard fabulous things about convention - getting together with 3000+ stampers, tons of freebies and demos.

I originally joined just to get the initial discounted starter kit, but I LOVE being part of the Stampin' community. Such a great group of women, and I get so many freebies on top of the discount. Just since September, from Stampin' Up! and the Stampin' Pretty Pals (plus Ink Big) I got

  • a box full of retired items ($500 worth)
  • about $15 worth of Stampin' up adhesive (from great rewards)
  • a free $50 box of occasion catalog goodies
  • a free stamp set
  • plus I'll be getting 2 more free stamp sets of my choice and $50 more of free merchandise from the spring catalog

PPA 189 Soft and Subtle valentine

I love these Paper Pal Arts Sketches! Here's my take on  the PPA 189 sketch

I just love the way very vanilla, whisper white, and pink pirouette work together in an ink-free card. I used the paper piercing tool to make the hearts pop (they looked a bit dull before piercing them). I find myself using the small components from the circle thinlits (in this card, the little arrows and banners) more than making flip cards with the thinlits.

Thanks for visiting!

Punch Art Baby Animals Card

I needed a baby card for a friend, and needed it in a rush...For some reason I went with a very detailed design...The perfectionist in me is annoyed with some of the details that did not pan out quite right. Next time I'm in a rush, I'm going to try and keep in simple! I like to enjoy every minute while making my detailed cards, and this one was just too rushed.

For the punch art, I followed the directions here from Doris Denman.

The animals were punched in Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, and a couple retired colors (bliss blue, close to cocoa, and pink). I used the Sale-A-Bration decorative dots embossing folder on half my top layer, and scored a couple lines below it before stamping my sentiment.

PPA 188 circle thinlits baby card

Here's my take on the sketch!

This sketch was screaming out to me Circle Thinlits flip card! Or maybe it was just my Circle Thinlits die waiting to be used! Card flips open to a blank circle, where I would write to the recipient. I absolutely love this die - what a fun, easy card to make.

The smaller star is from the Merry Mini's Punch pack.
