Welcome to our first blog hop of 2014. This month we are excited to show you the new products available in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog as well as a preview of the free products you can earn through Sale-a-bration at the end of January.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Sherrie Gross at Stampin Sunshine on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
I'm relatively new to cardmaking (only picked up my first stamp this past June), and if you browse my blog, you'll notice most of my cards are either CASed or inspired by a sketch. But for this blog hop, I decided to go out of my comfort zone, and come up with something entirely original. So I took out my Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration goodies, some scrap paper, retired ink pads and just started stamping! Within half hour I had 4 scrap cards! Woo Hoo!
I used my scrap cards to stamp my final suite of cards shown below:
All the images were stamped using the Sale-a-bration stamp set Petal Parade, and the sentiments were from 3 different stamp sets (Fabulous Phrases, Sassy Salutations, and from the Occasion Catalog Just Sayin'). I only used three stamp pads (Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, and retired Baja Breeze), and only white card stock! It's amazing how much you can do with so little product - and this was just the tip of the ice berg! Here are some photos of my cards individually:
And here's the scrap I started with (some of my final designs changed a bit from the original inspiration):
Did you notice there were four scrap cards, and only three final cards? Well, I ended up needing a baby card this week, so ditched the Valentine's card and made this with the Banner Blast Sale-a-Bration set (and banner punch):
This last card was inspired by many similar cards on pinterest.
