Happy Birthday for Muse challenge 90

I've been CASEing a lot of cards lately, but finally got some creative energy, and loved the Muse Inspiration this week. I've wanted to play along for a long time, but this is my first time playing. It was a lot of fun, I'll be playing again! Here's the fabulous card by Marion Vagg.

And here's what I came up with:

I was going for the neutral effect with a pop of bright, but looking at the card now, I kind of wish I used brighter colors. I used the triangle screen from MFT and the happy die and happy everything stamp set from Whimsy. The happy was cut from textured cameo coral Stampin' Up cardstock (retired). The birthday was stamped with Basic Gray craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, but sadly looks very dull, despite the embossing :-(.

Well I love it - I always love a bold pop of colour against neutrals! This is a really interesting, non-literal (but graphic and fun!) take on this week's Muse - I'm so glad you've found us! We can't wait for you to play along again!

Not dull at all! I think the coral is a fab pop of colour and works really well with the neutral background.

I love your take on the MUSE card - I think your colour combo is great - especially with that pop of coral red.
