Chalkboard card using hardwood

I  made this card for my 5 year old's teacher. The card was inspired by the dozen's of chalkboard cards all over the web.

This was my first time using the hardwood background stamp (even though I've had it for months), and I LOVE it. I'll have to play with it again soon. The apple is from the retired perfectly preserved stamp set and framelits. The little stars were from a sale-a-bration set from last spring.

The "A is for Awesome" is from the Smarty Pants stamp set by Whimsy Stamps.

Mustache Birthday Wishes

This is an almost exact CASE from Shannon Jamarillo. I actually sew her card and had to buy this stamp set, dsp, and die, just to make this card!! I made it a few weeks ago, but didn't get a chance to post it till now...

One thing I did differently was to layer a few dies cut mustaches (instead of propping one up on dimensionals).

This was such a fast, easy card to make. And I love the result!

Twins Block Step Card

I made this card for a friend who had twin boys! Such a fun card to put together. I CASED it from Deb Velder just changing up some of the colors and details.

I used Kraft cardstock since I didn't have white cardstock in 12 x 12 (on my wishlist). I noticed while I was taking the photos that the top box (with the 1, 2, 3 on it) was not properly glued down (I fixed it, but was too lazy to rephotograph it...)

The "twins" was die cut from the retired billboard alphabet sizzlet. Colors used were Kraft, very vanilla, so saffron, baja breeze (retired), and pistachio pudding.

Ring Ring for Retro Sketches

I saw the Retro Sketches #131 challenge, and I knew I need to use the Ring Me die-namics and matching stamp set. I scored these, along with a bunch more from a very generous MFT giveaway Karen Giron hosted. I cannot wait to play with the rest of the items!

Here's a side view of my phone. I propped the whole thing up on dimensionals and layered the number buttons to make them pop up. I made the phone "cord" by wrapping a sliver of cardstock around a chop stick.

And I think this Typeset DSP is my favorite ever!
